I understand that this is a ridiculous goal for many people. One week? That's it? Yep! I love my morning coffee and I love my afternoon pop. It's not that I can't go without them. It's that I don't really want to.
"But don't you know how much better it is if you don't drink that stuff?" Absolutely! I know the health benefits of reducing or eliminating pop and coffee. I know that I would feel a lot more energetic each day if I chose water instead. I know my teeth would appreciate it a lot more. But lets face it. I don't drink them for the pick-me-up (very often). I drink them because they taste so stinkin' good!
So how did I manage to complete the full week? Well, it actually started with me being really sick. Coke and coffee just didn't sound or feel good on my throat. As I started feeling better, though, I realized I was only a few days from my goal. Thanks to a fabulous flatmate, she held me to it! One week is nothin'.
I should continue this, but leaving for work at 9 AM means the alarm goes off at 8 AM and it's already 12:30 AM. Tomorrow, the pick-me-up will be needed and the coffee will taste oh so good! Although maybe I'll try to start rationing it...
