I am definitely not a risk-taker. I like my feet firmly planted on the ground and to know what's coming at any point in time. But I'm learning that I can be a little braver, especially when the people around me are being brave and supportive.
Now, I know that my "risk taking" is certainly laughable to anyone who enjoys a good adventure, but everyone has to start somewhere, right? I'm just starting about 25 years after most people. (Wow...that makes me sound old. I based that on age 5, by the way...) I'm not sure I'm ever going to want to go bungee jumping or base jumping, but I like the baby steps I'm taking.
Today, I got to cross "ride a motorcycle" off my list. I loved it! Once I quit thinking about the fact that I didn't have a seatbelt and no protective metal around me, I wouldn't say I'm saving up to buy one or anything like that, but I would consider hopping on with a friend and going for a little ride again.
