Where were we headed? We went on a little excursion to find fabric. Without a Joann Fabric nearby, we had a small adventure ahead of us. We drove to the road that we were told we could find a store. After walking a bit, we asked a random man on the side of the road. All I understood was "ala tool wa yemeen"..."go straight and right", but when you're in the beginning stages of learning a foreign language, any understanding is exciting. After going straight for what seemed a long time, we found another lovely woman who continued to direct us. (Who needs GPS when you have an opportunity to make friends along the road?) A few minutes later, we found the store and I'd be lying if I wasn't just a little excited at what I saw. There was an AMAZING assortment of BEAUTIFUL fabrics. I'm pretty sure we made the worker's entire evening. I can't imagine he has too many foreigners coming into his store and being that excited over what they found. But how can you not get excited at pretty fabric at low, low prices?! We forced ourselves to stop shopping when we hit 18 meters of fabric, but we could have gone on for quite a while. I'm fairly certain I'll be back to visit that store in the coming weeks & months. What a great find!
So what's the fabric for? Oh just you wait and see. :)
