A couple friends found a farmer on Craigslist who would sell them a pig and then they researched how to roast it. I’ll admit I was a bit nervous it would turn out, but after a night in a bathtub covered in ice and then 9-10 hours cooking, it was DELICIOUS!!
After everyone had their fill of BBQ pork and all the yummy sides people brought, we headed over to the amphitheater for some entertainment and worship. Little did I know, the entertainment was “tell stories about Sarah.” Once again...I got nervous. I know I can hide it well, but I have done and said some stupid things, so I was well aware of the fact that the people with the most dirt on me were there. What an encouraging, sweet time!! There were plenty of laughs, but so much more encouragement and love. I am truly blessed with the world’s greatest friends!
As the sun began to set, a few friends led out in acoustic worship. What a perfect way to end the night...singing songs to the only one worthy of our praise and adoration - Jesus Christ! At one point, I looked up to see a star-filled sky and all I could think was...
the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are
mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?”

- Psalm 8:9
